We understand that every parent’s journey after the death of a child is unique, and the way you choose to honour your little one is deeply personal. At Rite of Passage Funerals, our funerals for children are created with tenderness, patience and gentle guidance, helping you navigate options and make informed choices at your own pace.
Guided by our ‘get what you need, leave what you don’t’ philosophy, we offer an Essentials Package if you’re not ready for a full service, as well as optional add-ons to curate an intimate farewell or a larger gathering for family and community.
Whether you envision a quiet moment of remembrance or a beautifully detailed celebration of life, we weave in meaningful touches — from personalised rituals and memory-making activities to music, readings and symbolic gestures — to honour a young life with love and dignity.
What’s included
Transportation & Tender mortuary care
We will pickup your child from their place of death and bring them into the care of our trusted (and gentle) mortuary partners on the Gold Coast. From there, we wash and dress your little one, encasket them, and also arrange transportation to the crematorium or place of burial.
Cremation & cremation Casket
The $1500 Essentials package includes a cremation at Allambe Memorial Park on the Gold Coast. It also includes a complimentary cardboard cremation casket for larger children or a small white casket for babies. If you require the cremation to take place elsewhere*, or want to upgrade your casket* you absolutely can. *fees apply
All necessary paperwork
Cause of Death Certificate, Life Extinct Form, Permission to Cremate, Official Death Certificate…. these are just a few of the required forms needed when a death takes place. We take care of them all on your behalf, ensuring every box is ticked and all processes are seamless.
packages for Little ones
LITTLE ONE’S essentials, $2500 inc gst
All the essentials you need for your little one to rest peacefully. This includes transportation from the hospital or coroner into the gentle care of our mortuary partner and onto the crematorium, bathing, dressing and encasketing at the mortuary, a complimentary children’s cremation casket, and filing of all paperwork, including the death certificate with Births, Deaths and Marriages.
*this price is for the Gold Coast area. Out of area and out of hours fees may apply, but we will let you know upfront.
Little One’s FULL Services, from $3850 to $6500
From small intimate vigils to larger services for the whole community, we can create a really special send-off for your child. This package includes everything in the Essentials package, plus a bespoke ceremony by one of our expert Funeral Celebrants. From there, you can add on a venue, styling, catering, casket upgrade, and, if required an urn, of your choice.
