End of Life Doula Support

Compassionate guidance before, during and after death

At Rite of Passage Funerals, we recognise that end of life is not only a medical experience, it is emotional, relational and deeply human. Many families benefit from additional non-medical support during this time. For those seeking this kind of care, we are pleased to work alongside trusted End of Life Doula, Kellie Bova, who offers independent support to individuals and families navigating the final stages of life.

What Is an End of Life Doula?

Talking about your funeral with Rite of Passage Funerals

Support may occur over months, weeks, days or only hours, depending on individual needs. Many End of Life Doulas also provide support and guidance after death.

The word doula comes from the Greek Doulē, meaning person of service. An End of Life Doula (also known as a Death Doula) is a non-medical support person who provides education, guidance, advocacy and companionship to the dying and those who love them.
