A natural burial is a resting place generally in a bushland or regenerated area, where no toxic materials are used, including for the coffin, memorial stone or items buried with the body.
There are a number of natural burial grounds available in South East Queensland and surrounding areas, and our green burials and eco funerals consider every step of the process, educating you on the most environmentally-friendly alternatives from caskets to flowers to transport and more.
What’s included
Transportation & mortuary care
We arrange collection of your person from their place of death and bring them into the care of our trusted (and excellent) mortuary partners on the Gold Coast. From there, we wash and dress your person in-line with natural burial requirements and enshroud or encasket them.
Natural Burial Casket
All our natural burials include a complimentary cardboard burial casket. If you want to upgrade your casket* to any of our other environmentally friendly options, including pandanus, wicker or timber, or you’d prefer your person enshrouded with a shroud bearer, we have plenty of options available. *fees apply
All necessary paperwork
Cause of Death Certificate, Life Extinct Form, Official Death Certificate…. these are just a few of the required forms needed when a death takes place. We take care of them all on your behalf, ensuring every box is ticked and all processes are seamless.
Natural burial Packages
Essentials Eco burial, From $4500 to $6500
All the essentials you need for a ‘no service, no attendance’ eco burial. This includes transportation from place of death* to our mortuary partner and onto the burial ground on Gold Coast region, bathing, dressing and encasketing at the mortuary, hearse transport to the natural burial ground, a complimentary cardboard burial casket, and filing of all paperwork, including the death certificate with Births, Deaths and Marriages.
Additional add-ons include a casket upgrade to one of our many eco-friendly caskets, shroud and shroud bearer, ceremony curation, flowers, recycled paper service sheets, live streaming, live music and more.
